Maui is the best. The best island of Hawaii and the best place for your vacation. Maui is not as
crowded as Oahu, home of Honolulu, Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head and the Polynesian Cultural Center.
And Maui has a lot more to see and do, and more great resorts and restaurants, than the Big Island of
Hawaii, Kauai, Molokai or Lanai.
Two of the best hotels on Maui are the Hyatt on Kaanapali Beach and the Grand in Wailea. Other
hotels on Maui's west side include the Westin, Sheraton and Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Other hotels on
the south side include the Four Seasons, Marriott and Prince.
Some of the best restaurants on Maui include Plantation House on the golf course in Kapalua, Humuhumu
at the Grand in Wailea, Sarento's on the Beach on the border between Kihei and Wailea, David Paul's
Lahaina Grill in Lahaina, Haliimaile General Store in Upcountry and Mama's Fish House in Paia.
Air fares to Maui can vary tremendously by time of year and day of the week and airlines offering
special deals, so it pays to shop around. American Airlines flies to Maui from connections in Dallas,
United Airlines flies to Maui from connections in Chicago, Aloha and Hawaiian Airlines fly to Maui
from California and from Honolulu on the island of Oahu or from the other Hawaiian islands.
